Description
Potassium-Potassium is a concentrated source of potassium. Potassium is extremely important for plants to grow well and must be present in sufficient quantities. This is especially true for aquariums with many plants and strong lighting where potassium deficiency can reduce growth. Potassium also promotes the uptake and transport of nutrients and trace elements by the plant.
Dosage:
10ml per 100 liters of water increases the potassium concentration by 4 ppm (mg/l) in most cases a weekly dosage of 10 ml per 100 liters of water is sufficient. Nitrate & phosphate free
Why add plant nutrients? Argument:
· Plants need food
· Plants that receive the right nutrition grow and consume nitrate & phosphate and other pollutants that can otherwise cause algae problems in the aquarium.
· Plants that grow well act as an extra filter in the aquarium.
· Light is the most important nutrient, fluorescent tubes should be replaced after 12 months, even if they light up after 12 months, the tubes cannot provide nutrition to the plants.
· New plants cost money and algae problems are not something you want.
· If you do not add plant nutrients (food), you will soon have algae problems.
